NUCSER alumni meet held on 3rd November 2023 evening, at Hotel Deepa Comforts was a resounding success. About 47 alumni attended the gathering and reconnecting with their fellow batchmates. Mr. Prasanna R. Kailaje, (Director, student welfare and alumni relations), Nitte (DU) graced the occasion as the chief guest. His insightful address resonated with the alumni’s present. Dr. Anirban Chakraborty, (Director, NUCSER) delivered a heartfelt address, emphasizing institutions growth. Ms. Sujitha Felicitus, (Secretary of the alumni committee) hosted the program by skillfully guiding the proceedings of the event. Dr. Mamatha BS., (Coordinator of the alumni committee) Warmly welcomed the gathering, setting the tone for an evening of reflection and joy. Ms. Varsha P Shetty (President of the alumni committee), expressed gratitude to all the attendees, speakers, sponsors and organizers for making the event a great success. Ms. Pooja Rao, MC for the informal program, added a dynamic touch by conducting various games and activities, fostering interaction and laughter among audience. A token of appreciation was handed over as a memento to all the alumni who had attended the event which was administered by Ms. Prerana S (Treasurer of the alumni committee). The event’s musical ambience was enhanced by the sponsored DJ, courtesy PhD scholars of NUCSER, creating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. Alumnus of the institute, Ms. Sarika sponsored for the decorations which transformed the venue into a captivating space for the event to be held. A merge of collection of old photos from the alumni was displayed on a projector for everyone to reminiscence and enjoy. The alumni who couldn’t attend the programme in person contributed by sending a gesture of appreciation through a note that was displayed on the screen. The union concluded with a dinner and baila.
Milan-2023 was a splendid success, bringing together alumni from different walks of life to celebrate their shared history and accomplishments. The combination of insightful speeched, engaging activities and lively atmosphere created an unforgettable experience. The event not only strengthened the bond between the institution and its graduates but also paved way for future alumni engagements. As everyone departed with smiles and fond memories, it was evident that the evening had successfully rekindled the spirit of unity and pride among the alumni community.
The Alumni Association of Nitte University Centre for Science Education and Research (NUCSER) - named "Adhyetha” came into effect from 1st August 2016. The alumni association's motto is to intensify and build up the relationship between the alumni and the institute through getting connected by engaging in various activities among former students.
As a part of the alumni event, “How did I get here” series event was inaugurated and conducted on 1st November and 17th December 2021, virtually on the Google meet platform. It is a series of event where the alumni of NUCSER pursuing higher education in various Universities across the globe interacts with their fellow alumni and the other students of NUCSER to enlighten them with various opportunities in higher study.
The guest speakers of the first series were Ms. Rhea Sarah DSouza, research scholar at Kyoto University, Japan, and Mr. Koshi Mathews, research scholar at Hirosaki University, Japan.
The guest speakers for the second series were Ms. Sandra Nazareth, research scholar at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, and Ms. Joshna Pereira, research scholar at Institute of Biomedical Sciences Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Alumni association, NUCSER has conducted the third session of the “How did I get here” series on 21st May 2022, in the University Auditorium. The opening remarks were given by Prof. Dr. Anirban Chakraborty, Director, NUCSER. The speaker of the series was Ms. Namitha Prabhu (Batch – 2015), Scientific Writer, Thyrocare Technologies Limited, Navi Mumbai. She started the event with an exciting ice breaker, followed by sharing her experience in NUCSER. She emphasized her role in the present workplace, and also explained in detail about different work roles present in Thyrocare Technologies. It was indeed an overwhelming session. The program was concluded with a word of gratitude from Akshatha Kotian, treasurer of Adhyetha Alumni Association, NUCSER.ADHYETHA, the Alumni Association of NUCSER, organized an Alumni Induction Meet for the outgoing students at University Auditorium, Paneer Campus on 13th July, 2022. The Chief Guest of the program was Mr. Prasanna R Kailaje, Director, Student Welfare and Alumni Relations, Nitte (Deemed to be University). This induction program is aimed at welcoming the students of 3rd BSc and 2nd MSc to the ADHYETHA, NUCSER Alumni Association and also to brief them about the association and their role in it.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Prasanna R Kailaje highlighted the importance of staying connected to the Alma mater in his speech. He also made a small presentation on the Nitte Alumni Portal, and informed the students about the usefulness of the portal to connect to other alumna from constituent colleges of the University. Games and fun activities were conducted for the alumni and audience. Few of the alumni namely, Amna Nasmi, Sweedol, Sumith, Nithin shared their experiences of their NUCSER life and their journey so far.
The annual Alumni Meet of NUCSER was held on 11th January 2020 at Summer Sands Beach Resort, Ullal, Mangaluru. Mr. Prasanna Kailaje, Director, Student Welfare & Alumni Relations, Nitte DU was the function's chief guest. He highlighted the importance of alumni association & alumni meet for an organization, shared his experiences with the alumni, and suggested ways to strengthen the association.
Mr. Anoopkrishna K, President, Adhyetha and his team was instrumental in coordinating the meet. The formal program was followed by lunch, fun-filled games, and networking activities.
