Orientation Program - NUSCER & NGSMIPS

The Orientation Program for the students admitted to the UG and PG courses of NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Nitte University Centre for Science Education & Research was held on 1st August 2019 at "MANANA", 7th Floor, New Block, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangalore. M.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Sc & M.Sc Biomedical students along with their parents attended the orientation. The program began with a prayer invoking blessings from the almighty which was followed by lighting of the lamp.

A day of " Team Games" at NUCSER

NUCSER conducted the annual day of "Team Games" on 22nd November 2019 at the campus grounds at Paneer. Unlike previous years, the teams for the game events were given different names and different colours of jerseys this year and comprised of students from different classes and faculty members. The teams were Bandits, Game of Thrones, KGF, Silver Slayers, Pirates of NUCSER and NUCSER Avengers. Four different games namely football, cricket, volleyball and throwball were conducted.

NUCSER celebrates "Aikya"

A first of its kind event in the University, NUCSER conducted "Aikya"- a unique program that combined the celebration of various regional and religious festivals such as Deepavali, Karnataka Rajyotsava and Christmas on the last day of the current semester, the 30th November 2019, at the University Auditorium, Paneer campus. The theme Aikya, which means unity in Sanskrit, was conceptualized by the students and was aimed at highlighting the concept of "unity among diversity" through cultural performances depicting the importance of each of these festivals. NUCSER bids adieu to outgoing students through online meet

In a first of its kind initiative at the University and keeping in tune with the "new normal", NUCSER bid adieu to the graduating UG and PG students through a live virtual farewell program on 20th June 2020. The online farewell was an idea conceived by the students of the intermediate batches of NUCSER in these difficult times of COVID-19 pandemic. In their messages, the Director and the Dy. Director wished the students good luck for their future endeavors and urged them to keep NUCSER in their minds as they go through different phases in their career. News from NMAMIT | Inauguration of Indian Welding Society, Mangaluru centre

The Indian Welding Society (IWS), Mangaluru Centre was inaugurated on 16th March 2020 at Nitte Education International, Mangaluru by Sri. N Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte Deemed to be University & President, Nitte Education Trust. In his inaugural address he stressed the need for venturing into newer areas of technology that could enhance employment opportunities and mentioned that mechanical engineering stream has to be restructured with newer technological inputs.

The office-bearers of the Centre have been selected for a term of two years with Dr. Shashikantha Karinka, Professor & Head, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT as the Chairman; Mr. M J Shetty, Managing Director, Lakshmi Cryogenics as Vice Chairman; Mr. Sudhir J Shetty, CEO, Varun Engineering Corporation as Secretary; Mr. Gajanan S Hegde, Dy. General Manager, Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd as Treasurer in addition to 9 Executive Council members. Currently, IWS has a national membership of over 3600 and 65 life members in the Mangaluru region.
